Pac-West Non-Con Schedules!

Our second favorite D2 conference ❤

We’re only discussing D2 games; bold is an away game, italics is a non-Region game. If it’s a neutral site game, it’s noted but nothing weird is done to it.

We have no fancy order of schools, so like the CCAA, we’re doing this in order of year-of-founding from oldest to youngest.

Notre Dame de Namur

vs. Stanislaus
vs. East Bay
vs. Western Oregon @ CU-Portland
@ CU-PDX
vs. Western New Mexico
vs. UCSD

Really good schedule. Let’s be real here: they’re not going to win many of these games, but there’s the potential to win some. Playing host means that the odds of winning increase, if ever so slightly, so we’ll see what the Argonauts do this year.

Holy Names

vs. East Bay
vs. Stanislaus
@ Chico State
vs. Monterey Bay
vs. UCSD
vs. Western New Mexico

Oh goodness. We see a lot of sacrificial lambing going on, but ah well. Good luck HNU!

Dominican

vs. Sonoma State
vs. SFSU
@ East Bay
@ Dominguez Hills
vs. Purdue Northwest @ DH
@ Chico State

One of our favorite west region gyms and a really good schedule. Dominican has been bad as of late, but we have memories of them making the NCAA tournament, so… It is possible. Not likely, but possible. Good luck Penguins!

Azusa Pacific

vs. Cal Poly Pomona @ Seattle Pacific
vs. Chico State @ SPU
vs. Cal State LA
vs. SPU @ CU-Irvine
vs. WWU @ CU-I
vs. San Marcos

We’re excited about this schedule seeing as we’ll be at four of these games. For those that don’t know: APU is SPU’s sister school, hence all of the overlap. This is a schedule that should bring the Cougars to their knees, in a good way. Cal Poly Pomona, Chico State, Seattle Pacific, and WWU all project super well, and then the Cougars have San Marcos and Cal State LA as the milk to kill the fire. Really curious to see what their record is at the end of non-con.

Point Loma

vs. Humboldt State
vs. MSU-Billings
@ San Bernardino
@ UCSD
vs. Trevecca Nazarene
vs. Seattle Pacific

Really good mix of teams. Should get wins against Humboldt, Billings, and San Bernardino, and then UCSD and SPU should be good for SOS. We love PLNU’s new coach, he’s from our hood (or we’re from his hood?) and so the Sea Lions continue to be in great hands. Unfortunately we’re not going to make it down there for the SPU game because flying Thanksgiving weekend is horrible, but… Have a ton of fun and hopefully we’ll see y’all in March!

Biola

vs. San Marcos @ Cal State LA
@ CSULA

Pathetic schedule for a team that finished .500 last year; we expected more than facing basement dwellers, but ah well. We believe their transition is complete, so… Good luck with that autobid only approach.

Academy of Art

vs. San Francisco State @ Dominican
vs. Sonoma State @ Dominican
@ East Bay
vs. San Marcos @ Monterey Bay
@ Monterey Bay
vs. Chico State

It must be so nice not to have to ever fly anywhere during non-con, meanwhile still playing a great variety of schools. Good schedule, largely in region, the Knights don’t have much hope, but… We also wouldn’t term this a sacrificial lamb schedule; they have good opportunities to win, the odds just still aren’t good.

Fresno Pacific

vs. MSU-Billings @ Point Loma
vs. Humboldt State @ PLNU
@ Dominguez Hills
@ Cal State LA
vs. Monterey Bay
@ East Bay

Good schedule. Opportunities for wins and preparation, good mix of home and road games. There’s not much hope for Fresno Pacific in the overall picture of the season, but non-con has the potential to go decently well.

Hawaii-Hilo

vs. CU-Portland @ Western Oregon
vs. WOU
vs. Saint Martin’s @ Honolulu
vs. Alaska-Anchorage @ Honolulu

Apparently Hilo hearts the GNAC and we respect that. Not the greatest schedule, but… They are playing great schools =)

Chaminade

vs. Alaska-Fairbanks @ Alaska-Anchorage
@ UAA

They have their big D1 tournament that they host every year, hence minimal D2 schools. They’re going the route of needing to be elite in conference, and… It worked last year? Barely. Good luck Silverswords.

Hawaii Pacific

@ Alaska-Anchorage
vs. Alaska-Fairbanks @ UAA
vs. Arkansas-Monticello
vs. Simon Fraser

Solid if minimal schedule. Notable about their schedule is that they scheduled a non-rival NAIA team on the road which is just whyyy? Also, SFU is going to be more to handle than normal, so good luck with that Sharks.

CU-Irvine

vs. Texas-Permian Basin
vs. Wayne State College
vs. Ferris State
@ Cal State LA
vs. San Marcos @ CSULA
vs. Western Washington
vs. Seattle Pacific
vs. Trevecca Nazarene

As much as it’s a lot of non-region, this schedule is admittedly loaded. CU-I has come into D2 and been in the upper echelon of the Pac-West ever since, and so… This schedule should test them, but also put them in a position to make the tournament as long as they finish top-3 in conference, which is basically all we ever want out of a schedule. Good luck Eagles!

And that’s it for the Pac-West non-con schedules.

Be safe, have fun, and remember: West coast is best coast!!
