Player-of-the-Year is… Tanner Omlid!!

Tanner… Wow. Highlights include the elusive triple double, plenty of double-doubles, and actually a reasonable number of minutes averaged -he wasn’t a 38-39 minute per night guy, which makes these numbers especially nuts. He has what we consider to be the premier intangible in that he appears to be able to think through “What’s Important Now?” as he’s actively playing, which is insane and amazing. He plays the game of basketball in the correct way -he’s everywhere, doing everything, and his effort is apparent at all times. He’s not the most athletic guy, but he utilizes the tools he’s been given well.

Tanner is a fantastic team player with great court vision and an integral understanding of the game of basketball. He can go off, that is for sure, but he also trusts his teammates abilities to go off -that’s how you got dynamite performances out of guys like Ali, Demetrius, and Malik. Tanner never worried about what his numbers were going to be like and that’s likely what set him apart, and lifted him to Player-of-the-Year status.

Congrats Tanner -we’re so happy we get to keep you for another year, and can’t wait to watch you again soon!!
