Good morning and welcome to the second half of conference play. Today is one of the rarely predicted “boring” days, so sit back, relax, and allow your nails to breath a sigh of relief -no biting is likely to be necessary.
Alaska Anchorage @ Simon Fraser @ 7pm PST
A great opportunity for the Seawolves to flex their muscles. Brian McGill will have to calm his passing -don’t walk into a trap. But other than that, they shouldn’t have too much of a problem; figure win by 10 or 15?
Alaska Fairbanks @ Western Washington @ 7pm PST
WWU has been erratic but they still don’t really lose at home and it’s been said that they pencil in a loss to the Nooks on the road, thus it’s always a plan to get this W. Shouldn’t be a problem -if Ruben Silvas isn’t playing, bring a book.
MSU-Billings @ Western Oregon @ 7pm PST
MSUB actually came relatively close to an upset of WOU when they were in Billings, but that seems like a fluke now. The Yellowjackets had responded well after not having Austin Hudson, then they fell down a bit, then they kind of bounced back against SPU last week, but they’ve been looking worse and worse. WOU shouldn’t have too much of a problem, especially with the thought of the near upset.
Seattle Pacific @ Saint Martin’s @ 7pm PST
In Royal Brougham, the Falcons won by 25. We’ll throw in the “angry” factor on SMU’s behalf for this game, mixed with the knowledge that they beat SPU when the Falcons came for a visit last year, and call it a win for the Falcons by 7? Still don’t feel comfortable with this team on the road yet -SPU and SMU lost by the same margin to WWU, and then SMU played the Wildcats of Central much closer than the Falcons did.
All the coverage about tonight’s games’ll be up tomorrow morning.
