Simon Fraser @ NNU @ 6pm PST.
It would be nice to see SFU finally get another win in conference and yet at the same time it would also be nice to see NNU keep the ball rolling. NNU has such amazing guys and they’ve been coming together fantastically. Simon Fraser; we finally got a chance to witness their play in person and walked away less than impressed on multiple fronts. Sadly for them, it was in ways that lead us to lean away. We’ll see. No telling who wins this game.
Alaska-Fairbanks @ MSU-Billings @ 6:30pm PST.
Fairbanks has been impressive as of late, even with the loss to UAA. MSUB got a nice win against SFU after dropping one to WWU. Another game full of parity. Fairbanks is pretty figured out and they’re adept at the sport of basketball, which is great. MSUB has been harder to get a read on, so as much as they’re still dwelling in the basement it doesn’t feel nearly as cemented as it might.
Alaska-Anchorage @ Seattle Pacific @ 7:30pm PST.
Seattle Pacific needs to get it done. Anchorage needs to get it done. If Anchorage could walk away with a win at Seattle Pacific, it would be a major uptick for the program and would pretty much shake up the conference. It doesn’t seem impossible, but SPU is likely jumping at the bit after the near miss to Western. A couple of guys had a really bad game against rival WWU that they’re likely looking to redeem themselves from, whereas Anchorage is coming down off a nice win at rival UAF. No telling who wins this one either, because as much as Anchorage isn’t in the top four right now… Parity people, parity.
We’ll have all the action on Twitter as well as a full recap tomorrow morning.
Good luck Clan, Crusaders, Nooks, Yellowjackets, Seawolves, and Falcons.
