Teammate Riley Stockton was an incredibly close second, with Brian McGill taking third.
Matt was consistent, made his free throws, rebounded, and had at minimum decent shot selection in both games. He also picked up a technical, which… there were no extra statistical points given for that, but there’s always a time and place to sit back and salute.
Actually: there was a great moment in the Falcons’ win against Dixie State when Matt decided he had the ball and was gonna score, regardless of anything else; he stuck his arm out straight, shoved his hand into the DSU guy’s chest and literally pushed off in order to get to the hoop. It was blatant, completely stupid, and one of the best fifth fouls ever witnessed.
